The lodge is well-equipped, featuring a drying room, clean bathrooms, comfy beds, and delicious food. The craftsmanship is remarkable, with the building’s history adding to its charm, as it’s constructed from materials sourced from the very block it stands on.
We are already planning our return and highly recommend Rivergum Lodge for any group, whether it’s a large school group or a private family gathering. Thanks to the Rivergum team, until we meet again!the best to me. Highly recommended!

There are 3 wood burning fires situated through the lodge.
Big fireplace in lounge room.
BYO drinks the best to me. Highly recommended!
Best atmosphere, incredible staff.
Hosts are fantastic and very welcoming.
This is an amazing Lodge with a huge open fire place to sit around on the very comfortable and ample lounge seating. There are two wood burning stoves pumping out heat creating a lovely cozy atmosphere in this big open wonderfully made space .With huge long natural wooden gum tree table tops lined up like a scene from Game of Thrones makes this a fantastic friendly place for everyone to sit around and enjoy a meal at the end of a big day on the slopes.
The hosts are truly heartful family folk who can’t do enough for you and are more than happy to show you around the big brand new kitchen, it even has a chargrill.
There is a very big drying room heated by the fireplace that easily dries your snow attire overnight.
Yes there are some rules ( I have seen some other negative comments) but these keep the place clean and at a standard that everyone can keep coming back to enjoy. I have no problem with bringing a pair of indoor UGGs or slippers, if everyone came straight inside in their snow shoes the glistening clean floor would be filthy slip hazard in no time.
The rooms are basic lodge rooms with very comfortable beds and very warm heaters, the bathrooms are very clean and also have warm heaters along with that wooden cabin vibe.
Less than 10 minutes to Jindabyne, the value for $$ makes it my favourite place to stay when heading to Thredbo/Perisher.
There are a few real log cabins available as well , I have stayed in these with their own open fire places they are beautiful and very romantic if travelling with your partner.
