The Legend that is Rivergum Lodge

Offering warm hospitality for over 50 years…

Rivergum Lodge is set in native bushland surrounded by Silvergums and Paperbarks. Local residents include kangaroos, wombats and echidnas. Flocks of galahs and rosellas drift in and out in the morning sun and again at dusk, feeding on the red berries of our native cotoneasters.

Originally built in the 1970s and added to extensively in later years, it is constructed of abandoned round back rivergum railway sleepers – the ultimate in recycling way back then.

The Lodge has been in our family for over 50 years. My husband Michael and I took over management of Rivergum back in 2019. As it is a very special place in a beautiful part of the world – the Snowy Mountains, we have put our heart and soul into the property to make this gem shine!

We specialise in groups. We particularly enjoy welcoming club groups and schools, some of whom have been coming to Rivergum annually for 30 years.

We enjoy hosting our guests and feel privileged to welcome people into our unique lodge. We offer personal service and warm hospitality to make you feel at home away from home.
